About Senior Citizens Activities, Inc. (SCAI)
Senior Citizens Activities, Inc., (SCAI), is a 501(c)3 charitable organization that currently oversees and runs the only 50+ Senior Center in West Bend. Our Mission is to "Enrich the lives of adults 50+ through fitness and wellness opportunities, social interaction, recreational activities, and community involvement".
SCAI provides a friendly place for seniors 50 and older to participate in interesting activities in our building and around Washington County. Our organization's goal is for all the seniors in the West Bend and surrounding communities to take advantage of the programming we offer by visiting our senior center. We are not restrictive based on residency, we are here for all aged 50+! Each day we actively work to create a connection between people and educational opportunities, resources, fitness, wellness and social activities designed to improve the well-being of older adults. Enhancing one's physical and mental health will help slow the aging process and increase the likelihood of independence and resilience! We strive to help you prevent or delay many health conditions that are often associated with the aging process. Join the Center and see how much happier and healthier you become!
Our Center is located at 2378 W. Washington Street, Ste. A, West Bend, WI 53095, behind Culver's. Senior Citizens Activities, Inc., Kettlebrook Church and the Family Center are all under one roof in the Kettlebrook Community Center, which is in the Lawrence and Vivian Stockhausen Building.
As you enter the Center, you will find the facility is on one level (no stairs), it has a gym, a large common activity area, a separate room for art classes and smaller group activities, and a large warming kitchen. We have an inviting lobby area often where you'll find card playing, music and dancing, movies, presentations, and mini seminars. Our Center also has access to the gathering area which is commonly used by Kettlebrook Church for services on Sundays. This large area is the perfect spot for both large group presentations such as a Guest Speaker Series or information talks and for small group activities that are looking for a "quiet" area.
If you have any questions regarding our organization, the programs we offer, or to inquire about volunteering opportunities, please contact us at 262.335.4498.
We look forward to seeing you soon!!
